Your Independence Matters
When an organization joins the Coalition, it becomes a Partner of the Alliance and remains fully independent and under its own governance. Our mission is to compile disaggregated data into a central hub, creating a stronger, unified voice for Putnam County.
Joining as an Individual?
Volunteer Staff are unpaid members of the Coalition who serve on an ongoing basis under the direction of Coalition leadership, through hygiene, clothing, and other ministries, or by supporting events and operations. No organization is required, and no Partner Portal access is needed.
The Coalition is currently all-volunteer, including its Board, so you’ll be serving alongside leadership.

Become a Partner or Volunteer Staff
Partners: You will receive an email invite from PutnamHomelessSolutions@gmail.com within 24hrs of filling the form. Please check your spam/junk folder.
If you have issues accessing the Partner Portal after your login is created, a troubleshoot guide is located here.
Volunteer Staff: You won’t receive a Partner Portal invite. We’ll follow up to complete a short onboarding, including an intake conversation with Coalition leadership and an orientation. Roles with direct contact with guests also require a background check.
Service Area Definitions
Unpaid staff that operates Coalition-wide, assisting where necessary when able to do so. Works as part of the Coalition team under the direction of Coalition leadership. Preferably individuals who have a passion for helping the homeless and the community. Volunteer Staff will assist the Coalition and Coalition partners’ events where and when needed, and will assist with Coalition operations.
Organizations, agencies, landlords, etc. that deal in housing.
Advocates, organizations, agencies, etc. that will assist in outreach efforts throughout the community to help bring awareness to the cause, resources available, etc.
Advocates, organizations, etc. involved in food ministry (soup kitchens, food pantry, food distribution, etc).
All other ministries, such as hygiene, clothing, etc.
